Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to make a meaningful impact in a diverse school-based environment for the 2026-27 academic year. This contract opportunity is conveniently located just 20 minutes south of Atlanta, serving students from PreK through high school. The position is full-time at 40 hours per week, offering a chance to work collaboratively with educational teams across grade levels.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a pediatric or school-based setting and possess an active Georgia PT license. Your expertise will help students achieve their physical goals and maximize their educational experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active PT license in Georgia required
- Preferred: Pediatric and/or previous school-based PT experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for students with varied abilities and needs across PreK–12th grade
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in PreK–high school
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation of progress, goals, and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team consultations
- Educate school staff on safe handling and mobility for students
- Stay current on best practices and legal requirements in school-based PT
