Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid Physical Therapy license
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and documentation
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Current CPR certification is a plus
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students referred for physical therapy services
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support students’ needs in the classroom and school environment
- Document progress, maintain accurate and timely records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Instruct staff and caregivers in proper techniques to support students throughout the school day
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions and consultative support within the assigned school(s)
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in pediatric and school-based PT
