Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Physical Therapist (PT) license for Massachusetts
- Possess or be willing to obtain additional required Massachusetts educational certifications
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and students
- Demonstrated ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-12 students with varying needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with students’ IEPs and educational goals
- Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and monitor progress over time
- Collaborate closely with teachers, IEP teams, and families to ensure coordinated support
- Educate staff and caregivers in safe practices and relevant activities for students’ physical abilities
- Comply with district, state, and federal requirements for record-keeping and therapy delivery
