Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active or eligible state Physical Therapy license
• Previous experience in school settings or pediatric care preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and special education processes
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting interventions for diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ motor skills and physical capabilities
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, families, and staff on strategies to promote mobility and participation in school activities
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide training and education on mobility equipment and safe handling techniques
• Adapt interventions to maximize students’ independence
