A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a positive impact in a supportive school setting near Milton, DE. This position begins in August 2026 and focuses on working one-on-one or in small groups with students in grades K-6. You’ll assist a total of three students, providing essential therapeutic services and contributing to their academic and physical development. With a minimum commitment of up to 5 hours per week, this flexible role is ideal for someone interested in part-time work with a meaningful mission.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy interventions for children in K-6th grades

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individualized and small group sessions for three students as specified in their IEPs or care plans
  • Develop and adjust therapeutic activities to target each student’s developmental and educational needs
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of sessions and student progress
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to support student goals
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to student care strategies as needed
