School-Based Physical Therapist - Mineral, VA

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to serve students with IEPs, twice a week, with the possibility of supporting an additional student as new needs arise. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping students achieve their physical development goals within a program dedicated to individualized growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold an active state license as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Familiarity with writing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse physical needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff, families, and other service providers
• Ability to manage a flexible caseload and adapt to changing student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to assigned students, addressing their specific IEP goals
• Assess, plan, and document individualized treatment for each student in compliance with program requirements
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and communication with relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an integrated approach to student development
• Attend IEP meetings when needed to offer expertise and contribute to team planning
• Adjust intervention strategies as student caseload or needs evolve
