Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Arizona
- Previous experience delivering physical therapy services in school settings or to pediatric populations is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in documentation, progress monitoring, and developing treatment plans
- Adaptable and organized, able to balance a busy caseload
- Dedication to promoting student independence and academic participation
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy sessions, supporting students’ motor skills, mobility, and functional movement in classroom and school environments
- Document treatment sessions and ongoing student progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within school routines
- Attend IEP meetings, provide progress updates, and contribute to goal-setting for student success
- Educate staff and families on techniques, equipment, and strategies that foster student growth
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere for all learners
