School Physical Therapist | Naperville, Illinois

Make an impact this school year by supporting students’ growth and mobility on a short-term contract as a school-based Physical Therapist. This opportunity is located onsite near the Naperville, IL area and focuses on providing essential services to mixed grade levels, with special attention to transition-age students (ages 20–22). You’ll collaborate with educators and special education teams to help students develop or enhance their gross motor skills, ensuring they have access to educational opportunities.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Physical Therapist licensure required
• Demonstrated experience providing pediatric physical therapy
• Prior experience serving in a school-based setting
• Skills in adapting therapy strategies for diverse age groups
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver educationally relevant physical therapy services to students receiving special education
• Assess and address deficits in gross motor function; develop individualized plans to support student achievement
• Consult with teachers, families, and student support teams to promote access and participation
• Document all services and monitor progress to meet both educational and therapeutic goals
• Flexibly manage a caseload spanning elementary through young adult (transition) aged students
