You’ll use your expertise as a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver school-based therapy services for a mixed-grade caseload, with a focus on transition-age students (ages 20–22). This onsite role covers a short-term leave from August 17 through November 4, offering a meaningful way to make an impact at a pivotal point in these students’ academic and developmental journeys.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Physical Therapy license
- Proven pediatric experience in clinical or educational environments
- Demonstrated experience working in a school-based setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop individualized physical therapy plans tailored to their needs and educational goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to special education students, targeting improvement or compensation of gross motor function
- Collaborate closely with educators, service providers, and families to monitor progress and ensure successful integration of therapy strategies into classroom settings
- Maintain documentation and reporting aligned with school policies and regulatory guidelines
