We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to support several schools across a district, working directly with a diverse caseload of 35-45 students ranging from elementary to transition programs. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, student-focused setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT required)
- Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
- Background or interest in school-based PT services
- Comfortable working on-site and traveling between multiple schools
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering student independence and mobility
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ physical needs
- Develop and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services across a variety of educational programs (self-contained and general education)
- Train staff and students in the use of positioning and mobility equipment
- Collaborate closely with teachers, multidisciplinary therapists, nurses, and paraprofessionals to support each student’s learning goals
- Maintain all required documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and updated goals
This full-time role (37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday; flexible start times between 7:30 and 8:30am) runs from August 24, 2026, to June 7, 2027; part-time applicants may be considered.
