School Physical Therapist | Naperville, Illinois

Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a part-time Physical Therapist, making a meaningful impact across several schools near Naperville, IL. This contract position is ideal for travel professionals passionate about student-centered therapy in a vibrant, collaborative environment. You’ll play an important role in helping students—from elementary to transition programs—boost their physical independence and thrive in educational settings.

This in-person role spans 2-3 days each week, with varying start/end times between 7:30 and 8:30 am, depending on school hours. You will travel between campuses serving diverse caseloads in both self-contained and general education classrooms. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 7, 2027.

Qualifications:

• MPT or DPT degree and a current Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Strongly prefer candidates with school-based or extensive pediatric experience
• Comfortable working independently across multiple school locations
• Effective collaborator, capable of engaging with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide direct consultative PT services to students
• Train staff and students in the use of positioning and mobility equipment
• Maintain thorough daily documentation, write progress reports and update goals
• Foster positive relationships within interdisciplinary teams to maximize student participation
