Step into a dynamic school-based physical therapy position supporting students ages 6 to 21 across two school sites near New Britain, CT. This contract opportunity offers full-time (up to 40 hours/week) or flexible part-time scheduling, with the assignment extending through June 12, 2026. You'll play a pivotal role in an environment dedicated to evidence-based behavioral programs, serving a diverse caseload that includes students with autism spectrum disorders, seizure and genetic disorders (such as Fragile X), metabolic conditions, dual diagnoses, and those transitioning toward vocational opportunities at age 22.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current (or eligible) Connecticut Physical Therapy license
  • Background in school-based or pediatric therapy highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Dedication to inclusive, student-centered approaches

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students and develop individualized physical therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
  • Deliver direct therapy and consultation within a multidisciplinary educational setting
  • Foster functional mobility, safety, and independence in both classroom and vocational environments
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, OTs, SLPs, and vocational staff
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation of services and student progress per state and school protocols
