Physical Therapist - School Setting in New Britain, CT

This part-time role (25 hours per week) involves working across two school locations with students ranging from 6 to 21 years old. The assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with potential to extend into the summer program if you’re interested in supporting ESY (Extended School Year).

In this setting, you’ll make an impact as part of a strong, behaviorally-based program grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your skills will support students within a collaborative team, focusing on developing motor skills, mobility, and functional independence in daily school activities.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for Connecticut
• Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations
• Familiarity or training with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
• Ability to work effectively across two school sites
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Comfort working with diverse age groups and abilities (6–21 years)
• Adaptability to both in-person and any potential virtual service delivery as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services in accordance with students’ IEP goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
