Bring your expertise in pediatric physical therapy to an engaging contract opportunity supporting students in an educational setting near New Castle, DE. The role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 25, 2026 and concluding June 8, 2027, offering both part-time and full-time options at 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

This position offers a meaningful mix of experiences: primarily working within a school building, as well as occasionally providing compassionate, individualized therapy to medically homebound students. The school site where on-campus services are performed will be determined at placement, and caseloads may fluctuate as student needs evolve throughout the year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Delaware Physical Therapist license (required for consideration)
  • Experience providing physical therapy in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support varying caseloads, including homebound students
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and care teams
  • Dedication to delivering services that promote student independence and physical development

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to students in compliance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support homebound students through on-site or in-home services as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure integrated care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and communication logs
  • Adjust therapy approaches to meet each student’s unique needs within the educational environment
