Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut
• Prior experience working in school settings, preferably as a district-wide PT
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
• Comfortable traveling between schools within the district
• Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certifications
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
• Complete evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress
• Serve students at multiple school locations within the district
• Consult with special education teams, teachers, and parents to maximize student engagement
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student planning
• Offer training and support for staff on relevant physical therapy topics
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
