Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in Connecticut
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and educational documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
- Excellent time management and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to support students’ functional mobility and participation in school activities
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes according to school and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on adaptive equipment and strategies
- Ensure a positive, engaging atmosphere that fosters student participation and progress
