Physical Therapist - School Setting in New Haven, CT

This full-time opportunity spans the entire school year, offering a 35-hour workweek with a blend of consistency and variety as you support learners at both Whitney Academy and Basset Road. Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut
• Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or educational physical therapy preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students, teachers, and families
• Comfortable managing a caseload across multiple locations
• An innovative, adaptive approach that supports individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Willingness to commit to a full school year (contract basis)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and collaborative team recommendations
• Conduct assessments to determine student needs and monitor progress
• Provide consultation to educators and families on integrating therapy strategies into daily routines
• Maintain clear documentation and progress notes consistent with school and regulatory standards
• Share professional expertise by participating in eligibility and IEP meetings
• Engage with staff and caregivers, supporting students’ physical development and accessibility
