Physical Therapist - School Setting in New Windsor, NY

A part-time contract position is available for a dedicated Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with experience in both healthcare and educational environments. Key Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Prior experience in school-based OR healthcare PT/PTA settings
• Current registration and credentials in the state of New York
• Comfortable supporting students with a broad range of physical needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with teachers, staff, and families
• Reliable and organized, with the flexibility to adapt to a school schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy assessments and interventions for students, supporting their functional mobility and access to educational activities
• Collaborate with special education and general education staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with school or district guidelines
• Consult with families to support carryover of therapeutic strategies at home
• Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions
