Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license for New York State
• Previous experience or strong interest in school-based therapy preferred
• Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and educational team collaboration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to diverse student needs and learning styles

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students per individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assess student abilities, develop tailored treatment goals, and monitor progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
• Partner with teachers, school staff, and guardians to support student achievement and participation in daily school activities
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input on students’ needs and progress
• Provide training and guidance to school staff and families on strategies for promoting mobility and accessibility
