Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license for New York State
- Previous experience or strong interest in school-based therapy preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and educational team collaboration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to diverse student needs and learning styles
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students per individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student abilities, develop tailored treatment goals, and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Partner with teachers, school staff, and guardians to support student achievement and participation in daily school activities
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input on students’ needs and progress
- Provide training and guidance to school staff and families on strategies for promoting mobility and accessibility
