Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy approaches and best practices
- Familiarity with IEPs and special education programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with students, families, and staff
- Efficient time-management and adaptability within a school environment
- Ability to implement interventions, document progress, and work collaboratively with other educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Support students in achieving their motor goals and accessing the educational environment
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive care
- Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate and provide resources to staff and families about physical therapy supports
