This part-time position focuses on providing specialized physical therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Newark, NJ. Schedule: Enjoy a part-time workload—three days a week, six hours per day—giving you the flexibility you value. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, through either February 19 or 28, 2027.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEPs and school-based therapy best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Skilled in adapting therapy to meet the needs of a diverse K-12 student population.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and deliver evidence-based physical therapy to K-12 students.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and interventions.
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with educational and healthcare standards.
  • Support classroom staff in ensuring accessibility and safety for students.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and case discussions as needed.
