This full-time contract position offers the chance to work district-wide, covering multiple schools near Newark, NJ, for the 2026-2027 academic year. The schedule is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, starting September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to K-12 students across several school sites within the district.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students’ goals within educational environments.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure coordinated care and integration of therapy objectives.
- Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and track progress to comply with district and state requirements.
- Attend meetings and training as requested to stay aligned with best practices and policies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license (required).
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Ability to travel between multiple school locations during the work week.
- Comfortable serving a diverse range of student needs across all grade levels (K-12).
- Must be prepared to complete or provide: recent TB test, physical, and fingerprinting (required for both school district and agency).
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview prior to placement.
