Physical Therapist - School Setting in Newark, NJ

Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist in a vibrant educational setting near Newark, NJ. This full-time position offers you the chance to make a positive impact across multiple K-12 schools within a district-wide program. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 3:15PM, ensuring a consistent work-life balance. The contract runs from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027.

As a valued member of a collaborative team, you’ll support students' development, mobility, and overall well-being while working closely with educators and families to create inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state of New Jersey
• Experience with school-based physical therapy services preferred
• Able to work effectively with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Completion (or ability to obtain) all NJ state requirements, including:
  • TB test
  • Physical examination
  • Fingerprinting clearance for both the staffing agency and the school district
• Comfortable conducting a virtual interview via Zoom

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Document and report progress toward therapy goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive student support
• Travel between schools within the district as needed
• Maintain compliance with all state and district policies
