Key Experience and Skills:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New York State
- Prior experience providing PT services in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in assessing and developing individualized treatment and intervention plans for students
- Clear communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Comfortable working across various grade levels, adapting strategies to each student's unique needs
- Familiarity with required documentation and IEP processes within school programs
- Flexibility and resourcefulness to support individual and group therapy sessions
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering evidence-based physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conducting evaluations and progress assessments, documenting results accurately
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to design and adjust student plans
- Educating school staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and participation
