Physical Therapist - School Setting in Newburgh, NY

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapist (PT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) certification required
• Experience in school-based settings, particularly elementary and middle school, is preferred
• Strong familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, administrators, and families
• Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and document student progress
• Organizational skills and reliability to manage a flexible, part-time schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services and interventions for students per their IEP mandates
• Assess and reevaluate students’ physical therapy needs as required
• Attend and contribute to Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
• Keep accurate records and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
