Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain.
• Previous experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred.
• Ability to evaluate, design, and implement therapy plans for students with diverse needs.
• Strong collaboration skills—comfortable working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Adaptable and resourceful, with a commitment to inclusive, student-centered care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional mobility and physical therapy needs within the school environment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide therapy sessions and monitor progress, adjusting plans as needed.
• Educate school staff and families on exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings.
• Uphold compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, ensuring best practices in therapy delivery.
