School-Based Physical Therapist - Norfolk, Virginia

As a key member of the school-based therapy department, you’ll work with children of varying ages and abilities, conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing direct therapy services. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous experience in schools or pediatrics is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
• Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop effective, individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students according to IEP requirements
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of services and student progress
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
• Educate school personnel and families on interventions, accommodations, and equipment needs
• Adapt therapy plans as needed to optimize student outcomes
