Exciting opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist to support students during the Extended School Year program. Key Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to a diverse age and ability range (4-22)
- Detail-oriented and capable of effective documentation
- Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about student growth
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans
- Assess students’ physical abilities and develop goal-oriented treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other therapists to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and related documentation
- Communicate effectively with school staff and families regarding progress and recommendations
- Foster a positive and inclusive therapy environment
Schedule and Details:
- Contract position for Extended School Year: July 6th – August 6th
- Work 2 to 3 days per week, Monday through Thursday
- Each day includes a 3-hour shift
- Work with a diverse student population ages 4–22
