Physical Therapist - School Setting in Oak Lawn, IL

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Physical Therapist to work on-site with students, supporting their growth and success throughout the school year. This full-time contract position spans from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, offering meaningful engagement with a diverse student population, aged 3 to 21. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based physical therapy services in person within a dynamic educational environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Illinois PT license (required)
• Previous experience in a school-based PT role preferred
• Comfortable working with children and young adults, ages 3–21
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and monitor progress
• Knowledge of best practices in pediatric and school-based physical therapy

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, on-site physical therapy services to students
• Assess students’ needs and develop tailored therapy goals
• Implement evidence-based interventions to support student access to educational opportunities
• Document interventions and student progress in compliance with school/program standards
• Collaborate with educators and families to maximize student outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations, as needed
• Contribute to professional development initiatives as directed by the school/program
