This full-time, onsite contract position runs from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, and offers the fulfilling opportunity to work with children and young adults ages 3 to 21. Each week brings 35 hours of hands-on interaction and the chance to be a vital resource for both students and educators. This role is strictly in-person and will situate you as a key member of a dedicated educational team, ensuring that all students receive goal-oriented, evidence-based services tailored to their abilities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Physical Therapy license (required)
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Demonstrated success working with students who have disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in pediatric physical therapy
  • Comfort working with a wide age range (preschool through young adult)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, onsite physical therapy services to students, supporting their access to the school curriculum and activities
  • Assess student needs, develop personalized therapy plans, and document progress
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and other school-based professionals
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute your expertise to IEP development
  • Utilize innovative, cost-effective approaches to maximize student engagement and outcomes
  • Adapt interventions to support students with varying degrees of physical abilities and learning styles
