School Physical Therapist | Oak Lawn, Illinois

Seeking a passionate Physical Therapist for an engaging contract position to support students across multiple school buildings, just outside Oak Lawn, IL. This rewarding role is ideal for a PT with experience in educational settings, who thrives on helping children achieve greater mobility and access to their curriculum.

You’ll work 3-4 days per week, delivering both direct and consultative services tailored to each student’s IEP. With a manageable caseload split across three buildings, you can look forward to making a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility in your weekly schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Physical Therapy licensure in Illinois
• Experience providing PT services in schools preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy to a variety of student needs and IEP requirements
• Commitment to documentation, compliance, and ethical practice

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students (ranging from 7.5 to 60 minutes per week, per IEP)
• Rotate between three dedicated buildings, with caseloads as follows:
  • Building 1: 5 students, with individualized weekly session times
  • Building 2: 7 students, including direct and consultative services
  • Building 3: 5-6 students enrolled in a cooperative program
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Develop and implement treatment plans to foster student independence
• Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
