This contract opportunity is available from August 2026 through May 2027, serving students at an elementary school near Oakland, CA. Working on-site for 10-12 hours per week, you’ll be an integral resource as students finish the school year, collaborating with educators and supporting a focused caseload.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid state license as a physical therapist is required
- Previous experience working with children, especially in a school environment, is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively partner with students, teachers, and families
- Detail-oriented and compassionate, committed to helping students thrive physically and academically
- Educator credential is not needed for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized physical therapy services to elementary-age students, addressing individualized needs and goals
- Develop and implement therapy plans in alignment with students' IEPs or specific educational objectives
- Document assessments, progress notes, and interventions clearly and accurately
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of care and support for each student
- Participate in meetings and offer consultative support as needed
