Your background in school-based physical therapy will empower children and adolescents to achieve their educational and mobility goals. As this is a district-wide position, you’ll serve multiple campuses, conveniently situated near one another, and collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy settings
- Understanding of IEP processes and relevant documentation
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Flexibility to travel between local school sites as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students referred for physical therapy and participate in multidisciplinary assessments
- Develop, implement, and track individualized PT interventions to support students’ academic access and functional mobility
- Prepare progress reports and contribute to IEP meetings
- Educate and collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
- Provide consultations as needed to adapt school environments, tools, or routines for student success
