Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is full-time, with a 37.5-hour workweek, serving a diverse K-12 caseload of approximately 25-30 students. Work onsite across the district, collaborating closely with educators and families to promote each student’s functional mobility and participation in the school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Washington State Physical Therapist license, or willingness to obtain prior to the start date
- Fingerprinting through OSPI, or commitment to complete this requirement
- Experience or strong interest in providing school-based PT services
- Familiarity with student-centered assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and caregivers
- Ability to work onsite and adapt to the needs of various schools within the district
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to K-12 students to enhance their learning and independence
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and set measurable goals
- Support students across multiple school sites within the district
- Collaborate with teachers, IEP teams, families, and other service providers
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with regulatory standards
- Participate in district-wide initiatives, staff training, and professional development
