Desired Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state PT license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Prior experience in school-based physical therapy or working with pediatric populations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans to address students’ gross motor skills and mobility needs
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward physical therapy goals
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and specialists to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications
- Support students with adaptive equipment and techniques for improved school participation
