Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state PT license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Prior experience in school-based physical therapy or working with pediatric populations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans to address students’ gross motor skills and mobility needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward physical therapy goals
  • Work closely with teachers, aides, and specialists to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications
  • Support students with adaptive equipment and techniques for improved school participation
