Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid license to practice Physical Therapy in Washington
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to support students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a compassionate approach
- Knowledge of current best practices in school-based PT services
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEPs and educational objectives
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to facilitate student participation and progress
- Document evaluations, interventions, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and provide training or consultation to staff as needed
- Encourage student independence and advocate for necessary accommodations within the school environment
