Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid California Physical Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques for school-aged children
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Dedication to helping students reach their full potential
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to integrate therapy into educational goals
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations and progress discussions
- Provide recommendations for equipment, classroom modifications, and student assistance as needed
