Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid California Physical Therapist license
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques for school-aged children
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Dedication to helping students reach their full potential

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to integrate therapy into educational goals
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations and progress discussions
  • Provide recommendations for equipment, classroom modifications, and student assistance as needed
