Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple schools in a district-wide role for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time position involves providing skilled physical therapy services that help students achieve their highest potential in the school environment. The role is based near Orange, NJ, and includes 35 hours per week with a consistent schedule from 8:30AM to 3:15PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Physical Therapy license required
- Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred
- Ability to complete or obtain all NJ compliance requirements, including:
- TB test
- Physical examination
- Fingerprinting (for both the agency and school district)
- Comfortable participating in a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evaluation, intervention, and consultation services to students with diverse physical needs across multiple schools in the district
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress toward functional educational outcomes
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, administrators, and families
- Document all services and maintain student records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Travel between school sites as needed and manage a consistently full caseload
