School-Based Physical Therapist - Orange, VA

Make a meaningful impact with a contract opportunity providing specialized services to students in a supportive educational environment. This position focuses on delivering high-quality Physical Therapy for a student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), twice weekly, with the possibility of an additional student joining your caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapy license and eligibility to practice in the state
• Experience working within school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs and the ability to develop and implement goals and treatment plans supporting educational objectives
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
• Dedicated, adaptable, and committed to promoting student independence and participation

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services, twice a week, to a student with an IEP, ensuring interventions align with the student’s individualized goals
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to support a holistic educational experience
• Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs in a school-based environment
• Prepare to extend services to a potential second or third student, as the program expands
