This position focuses on delivering high-quality Physical Therapy for a student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), twice weekly, with the possibility of an additional student joining your caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy license and eligibility to practice in the state
- Experience working within school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and the ability to develop and implement goals and treatment plans supporting educational objectives
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Dedicated, adaptable, and committed to promoting student independence and participation
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services, twice a week, to a student with an IEP, ensuring interventions align with the student’s individualized goals
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to support a holistic educational experience
- Conduct assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs in a school-based environment
- Prepare to extend services to a potential second or third student, as the program expands
