Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license
• Experience working with pediatric populations or within a school-based setting
• Background in designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions according to each student’s unique needs
• Familiarity with documentation requirements for school-based therapy

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, focusing on improving functional skills in the school environment
• Assess, develop, and update IEP goals in partnership with interdisciplinary teams
• Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ access to curriculum and extracurricular activities
• Document therapy sessions, maintain accurate progress records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Offer recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and safe movement throughout the school
• Participate in staff training and promote awareness of mobility and movement strategies
