This in-person, contract position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact from August 19, 2026, through June 1, 2027, working with an engaging population of students with disabilities, ranging from ages 3 to 21. Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school setting with students with disabilities is highly desired
- Ability to tailor therapy approaches for children and young adults across preschool, elementary, middle, and high school
- Comfortable collaborating with educational teams and adapting plans as needed
- Strong communication, documentation, and organization skills
- Commitment to providing services exclusively onsite during school hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students ages 3–21, in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess student needs, develop treatment goals, and regularly measure progress
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and families to integrate therapy into educational settings
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, supporting best practices for student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and regulatory standards
- Assist in professional development activities for educators to promote inclusive and cost-effective strategies
