Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois
- Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and pediatric therapy protocols
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate and assess student needs, creating engaging therapy plans targeted to each student’s goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student progress and generalization of skills
- Document session notes, progress reports, and collaborate on IEP reviews and updates
- Consult with staff on strategies to adapt classroom activities, ensuring accessibility and participation for all students
