School-Based Physical Therapist - Orland Park, Illinois

You’ll provide direct and consultative PT services to students with a range of needs. The school director is eager to welcome a dedicated PT for 3–4 days per week to ensure students receive high-quality therapeutic support. Each building offers a dynamic caseload, fostering your skills in individualized care and collaborative problem-solving.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois.
• Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
• Confidence in providing both direct and consultative PT services.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and care teams.
• Ability to develop and adapt IEP-based interventions for students with diverse needs.
• Commitment to fostering student independence and classroom engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver weekly PT services, ranging from 7.5 to 60 minutes per student in Building 1.
• Provide direct care for 4 students and consultative services for 3 students in Building 2.
• Support approximately 5–6 students within a cooperative program in Building 3, focusing on individualized IEP therapy.
• Accurately document student progress and participate in IEP meetings.
• Advise staff and caregivers on strategies for student success.
• Travel locally between schools as required.
