Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active PT license or eligibility to obtain in Maine
- Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment interventions
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Previous work in a school environment is beneficial but not required
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assess students referred for physical therapy and develop individualized care plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to address mobility, motor skills, and functional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with school guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on student accommodations and adaptive equipment
- Educate staff and families on therapy goals and strategies for generalization in the classroom
