Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active PT license or eligibility to obtain in Maine
  • Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to design and implement individualized treatment interventions
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Previous work in a school environment is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assess students referred for physical therapy and develop individualized care plans
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to address mobility, motor skills, and functional challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with school guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on student accommodations and adaptive equipment
  • Educate staff and families on therapy goals and strategies for generalization in the classroom
