Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state
  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant documentation
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students’ physical therapy needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and families
  • Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Consult with teachers and support staff to facilitate student participation and success in school activities
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, interventions, and progress notes per school and regulatory guidelines
  • Attend IEP and multidisciplinary meetings as required
  • Educate families and staff on strategies to promote student mobility and independence
