Step into a rewarding contract opportunity to provide physical therapy within a supportive year-round outpatient program focused on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you’ll deliver 15-20 hours of PT services weekly to patients ranging from 12 years old through older adults, with a primary focus on young adults. Most clients are seen for two sessions per week, allowing for relationship-building and meaningful progress over time.
You’ll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals as part of a team serving a diverse range of abilities. No restraints are required in this compassionate, patient-first environment. Your knowledge of the Medicare and Medicaid systems will help support compliance and continuity of care, though writing scripts is not necessary. Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school or outpatient healthcare settings
- Familiarity working with young adults and individuals with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid system requirements
- Ability to develop rapport and positive relationships with patients of varying ages and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and open-minded approach to care
Primary Responsibilities:
