Step into an engaging, supportive environment as a part-time Physical Therapist providing services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Your assignment begins with a thorough orientation on August 3rd and 4th, prior to students’ first day on August 7, 2026, and will carry through the school year until May 20, 2027. Work just two days each week (totaling 15 hours) with flexible scheduling to suit your availability.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy licensure for Illinois
- Previous experience or strong interest in providing PT services within K-12 school environments (resource and self-contained classrooms)
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with educators, staff, and families
- Skills in assessment, intervention, and documentation suited for students with diverse needs
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based physical therapy assessments and individualized treatments
- Develop and implement IEP-driven interventions in resource and self-contained settings
- Collaborate regularly with special education and related services staff during scheduled meetings
- Access readily available equipment and testing materials to support your sessions
- Utilize intranet platforms for real-time interaction and resource sharing with fellow PTs across the region
- Participate in process improvement projects and annual performance reviews aimed at enhancing service quality
