Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting K–12 students in a vibrant educational setting near Palatine, IL. This onsite role begins with orientation on August 3 and 4, followed by an exciting school year running from August 7, 2026 to May 20, 2027. With a part-time schedule of 15 hours across two days each week, you’ll work with both resource and self-contained students, helping them reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
- Previous experience working in school settings (K–12), preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs
- Comfort with assessments, interventions, and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to a wide student population, from kindergarten through high school
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs
- Utilize school-provided equipment and testing materials for assessment and therapy
- Participate in monthly meetings and roundtable discussions to promote collaborative care
- Track student progress and contribute to process improvements
- Engage in regular 1:1 check-ins and team meetings with leadership
- Take part in annual performance reviews for professional growth
