Physical Therapist - School Setting in Peabody, MA

Step into an impactful contract position as a Physical Therapist providing essential services within a supportive school environment. This onsite opportunity, situated close to Peabody, MA, runs from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027, with a flexible commitment of one day per week. As the sole PT for this term, you’ll engage with students who benefit from dedicated attention and collaborative care from multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current, active Physical Therapy license for the state of Massachusetts
• Willingness to seek or maintain any required state educational certifications
• Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric rehab setting is valuable
• Ability to build rapport with school staff, students, and families, adapting interventions to individual needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Core Duties:

• Assess and develop treatment interventions for students with diverse physical and developmental needs
• Deliver direct therapeutic services onsite, focused on student mobility, motor skills, and functional independence
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements
• Provide training and guidance to school staff and caregivers to optimize therapy carryover throughout the week
