Step into a rewarding role dedicated to supporting young learners in their physical development for the 2026-2027 school year! Beginning August 3, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, this contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across multiple school settings. You’ll work 30 hours per week over four days, with a dynamic schedule—two days in Albuquerque and two days in Santa Fe—serving PreK and elementary-aged students.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Mexico
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based physical therapy
- Background in supporting PreK and elementary student populations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Flexibility and comfort working across multiple campuses
- Ability to collaborate with diverse educators, families, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to support student mobility and physical development
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to students’ educational and developmental needs
- Assess, document, and monitor the progress of students in accordance with IEPs and relevant protocols
- Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote physical health and access to learning environments
- Participate in team meetings to advocate for students' needs and share clinical insights
- Travel between Albuquerque and Santa Fe settings, ensuring continuity of care
