An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Physical Therapist skilled in working within school environments, especially with children who have complex medical needs. This contract role is based near Philadelphia and focuses on supporting a medically fragile, bed-bound middle school student. The district values continuity and is seeking a provider who can become a steady presence for this student over multiple school years.

As a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Physical Therapist, your expertise will be instrumental in the child’s growth and daily function. If you are not bilingual, your application is still welcome—the district will consider adding a language interpreter if needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills strongly preferred; non-bilingual applicants also considered
  • Prior experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with medically complex, bed-bound children
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families and other therapy disciplines
  • Commitment to consistency and relationship-building over multiple years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person physical therapy services to a bed-bound middle school student for 2.5 hours each week (potential for more hours as the schedule evolves)
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including OT and SLP professionals
  • Develop and implement individualized plans that support the student’s mobility, strength, and overall well-being
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with the student’s family and participate in team meetings
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements

Perks of the Position:

  • Year-round, consistent contract with potential for increased hours and extended terms
  • Opportunity to develop a lasting, impactful relationship with a student and family in need
  • On-site, in-person care—no virtual sessions required

Take the next step in your career and make a meaningful difference—apply today to support this student’s journey!
