Make an impact in the lives of students by providing essential physical therapy services in a supportive educational setting. This short-term contract position offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, with a concentration on transition-aged students (20–22 years old). You will collaborate closely with other school professionals as you help students improve or compensate for gross motor skill deficits, enabling them to successfully access their educational programs.

Key Requirements:

  • Current Illinois licensure as a Physical Therapist is required
  • Prior experience in pediatric physical therapy
  • Previous school-based PT experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfort working onsite in a school environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educationally related physical therapy services to students with special needs
  • Evaluate and document students' physical abilities, progress, and therapy outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student assessments and IEP goals
  • Support students from mixed grade levels, focusing especially on transition-aged young adults
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success in gross motor development
