Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California Physical Therapist license
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop individualized therapeutic interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Organized, with reliable time management and documentation skills for IEPs and progress reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ physical abilities and develop tailored therapy plans that align with IEP goals
  • Deliver individual and small group therapy sessions focused on motor skills, mobility, and functional independence
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success in the classroom
  • Document progress and adapt strategies, attending IEP meetings as needed
  • Serve as an advocate for accessible learning environments, offering expertise on equipment and accommodations
