What you’ll need to succeed:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
- Active Physical Therapist license as recognized by the State Board of Physical Therapy
- School-based or pediatric experience is strongly preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy for students with physical, mobility, or developmental challenges
- Collaborate with IEP teams to create and adjust therapy goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students as outlined in their educational plans
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
- Educate staff and families regarding at-home and classroom activities to maximize student outcomes
