Physical Therapist - School Setting in Portage, MI

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a dedicated Physical Therapist supporting students across several welcoming communities. As a full-time PT, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, providing your expertise across Climax-Scotts, Comstock, Parchment, Gull Lake, and Galesburg-Augusta.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state
• Experience with school-based physical therapy services preferred
• Strong evaluation and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Enthusiasm for supporting diverse student needs and goals
• Strong organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students across multiple school sites
• Deliver direct and consultative PT services in accordance with IEP goals
• Complete timely and thorough service notes, maintaining accurate records for each student
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Help students improve physical function, mobility, and access to school activities
• Travel between schools in the assigned region as needed throughout the week
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program development
